2025

Early in 2025 Mak3 was commissioned on a short deadline to complete two large 40 foot by 80 foot skids which will support metal buildings assembled by Mak3.  To date  Mak3 has met and exceeded all expectations of customers.

While working large scale projects Mak3 was able to complete multiple other projects around Alaska, including commercial building snow stops in Kenai

2024

With a vision for progression and a history of large concrete construction projects  Mak3 focused on bringing its expertise to many different customer fronts.  This included multiple large tent ground up erections in Deadhorse AK as well as a loading dock plate replacement in Kenai AK.

Mak3 also filled a gap in overhead door installation, electrical tie ins and mud plant PM boiler servicing and maintenance across the Prudhoe Bay region

2014

MAK3 Construction provided ironworkers to support Nana GIS in the upgrades to the mill building at Red Dog Mine. This work included removing the roof sheeting, replacing the purlins, and re-roofing the building with translucent panels. The main mill buildings are constructed with 50’ sidewalls and a 5/12 pitch, making this an extremely challenging project.

2014

MAK3 Construction supplied all oversight, labor, and equipment to upgrade the roof of the Aurora Hotel. This project required removing the existing roof sheeting insulation, spray foaming the ceilings from the outside, and then re-sheeting and upgrading the entire roof from a 40 mm to a 60 mm EPDM membrane.

2014

MAK3 Construction served as General Contractor for Black Gold Oil Field services to install their new Deadhorse Lodge. This 230-bed camp required us to build all of the connector mods in the field, and we were brought in at the last moment to provide carpenters and laborers, as well as complete surveying, site layout, and setting of the modules. This camp was set and occupied in 17 days and completed in 45 days.

2012

Performed major remodel work at Red Dog Mine over the course of 3 years with small crews. We replaced windows, completed the demolition of all the dormitory-style bathrooms, and installed completely updated and modern restroom facilities. We also replumbed and skinned the port facilities due to age and degradation.

2011

Performed the setting and installation of Eni Petroleum's 124-man camp. The project included the construction of a three-story facility with a fourth-story penthouse and communication tower. The project was sited on a man-made island approximately 6 miles offshore from Oliktok Point, Alaska. The project started at the end of March, utilizing the ice road for delivery of modules, equipment, and materials. Working through the breakup season required the moving of personnel by hovercraft between the mainland and the job site. The project was completed on schedule and under budget with zero safety incidents.

2010-2011

Installed Nikaitchuq Operations Center (NOC) for Eni Petroleum. Due to a delay in receipt of modules, most of the project scope was completed during arctic winter conditions. The modules shipped out incomplete to meet transportation and delivery schedules. We accomplished extensive interior work: installed V-rib insulated panel on the building to include decorative aluminum panels on the front of the building, installation of all exterior plumbing, pipe-stitching between modules, domestic water piping, and system interconnection with boiler and room heating system and HVAC piping. Electrical work included unit-to-unit connections, telephone data, and TV interconnection. The project was completed on time and on budget with zero warranty issues to date.

2010

Completed construction of a pre-engineered metal maintenance building for MagTec at Prudhoe Bay (North Slope). Installation occurred during November and December.

2008

Started by a father (John) and his sons (Terry and John Jr.) Mak3 Construction was born as a service provider of general construction to the Wasilla/Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay Area. Â
